CFS Liquid Flow Screeds
Floor Preparation & Latent Removal
Proper preparation of the floor is critical for the success of screeding. It involves removing any existing flooring or debris from the floor and ensuring that the subfloor is level, clean, and free from moisture, oil, or other contaminants that could affect the adhesion of the screed. Any holes or cracks in the subfloor should be filled using a suitable filler material, and the subfloor should be primed with a suitable primer to improve adhesion and prevent the absorption of moisture from the screed. Before applying the screed, any necessary insulation or underfloor heating systems should be installed. These steps will ensure that the floor is properly prepared for the screed, which will result in a strong, long-lasting bond between the screed and the subfloor.
At CFS, we understand the importance of a properly prepared flooring area for the installation of new surfaces. That’s why we prioritise ensuring that the flooring area is fully prepped and ready before installing any new flooring.
We also offer underfloor heating installation services for those who are interested. Underfloor heating can be a great addition to any home or commercial space, providing warmth and comfort during the colder months. If you’re considering underfloor heating, we invite you to check out our underfloor heating installation page for more information on the services we offer.
